I do love the sound of the birds through my open windows this week. Watching the flowers come up and getting on more walks makes my heart happy. Another thing that makes my heart happy is that Dale and I just celebrated 7 years together as life partners and entrepreneurs, and it feels so special to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come. Another year of growing, supporting one another, and building something meaningful side by side. What keeps our spark alive is simple, we make time to have fun together. Whether it’s exploring new restaurants, going for hikes, watching a favourite show, enjoying beach days, traveling, or catching a great play, we truly value those moments of connection. I also want to share that April 22nd marks my 5th year anniversary of ringing the bell after my last radiation treatment for breast cancer. I am so grateful for all the support I received during that time and encourage all women 40 and over to book in their mammograms.

Here is a reminder of something I often share with my clients.

Your home should be the antidote to stress, not the cause of it.”
Clutter Can Be a Safety Risk: Stay Safe This Spring

Clutter isn’t just overwhelming, it can quietly turn into a safety concern in your home. When pathways are blocked, the risk of trips and falls increases. Items stored too close to heat sources can become fire hazards. Over time, cluttered and crowded spaces can lead to poor air quality, mould, and even attract unwanted pests. That’s why spring is such a powerful time to reset your space. Start small. Choose one area, clear a pathway, check around heat sources, and remove anything that no longer serves a purpose. Also a great idea if you don’t suffer from allergies is to open all your windows and turn off your heat which will help new air circulate into your home. You don’t have to do everything at once, just take one intentional step forward.
Decluttering isn’t about creating a perfect home. It’s about creating a space that feels safe, functional, and supportive for your everyday life. For many of our clients, this is also the first step toward downsizing, simplifying, or navigating a loved one’s estate with more ease and care. If you’ve been thinking about getting started, let this be your sign. Begin with one drawer, one shelf, one corner. And if you’re looking for more guidance, I share simple, practical steps in my book Clear the Clutter, Reclaim Your Life, available now on Amazon. You can order it here!

If you are feeling overwhelmed and not sure what to do with your home, an in home assessment is a great starting point. I can assess the best and most environmentally friendly way to disperse your belongings. Check out my website and click on get started!

Referral Partner Spotlight!

This month, I’d love to introduce you to Monica Van Den Hurk, a trusted mortgage expert who specializes in supporting seniors and families in making confident, informed financial decisions. What I really appreciate about Monica is her approach. She doesn’t just look at rates, she looks at the full picture. Because a mortgage is not just about a rate, it’s a financial strategy.

Too often, people renew without reviewing or refinance without fully understanding the long-term impact. Monica takes the time to guide her clients through options that protect their cash flow, long-term stability, and overall peace of mind. If you or a loved one are planning to renew, refinance, or purchase a home this year, it’s worth having a conversation. A few small, informed shifts today can protect thousands over time. Business Community Spotlight: Go With the Flow in Burlington

I recently had the chance to experience a deeply relaxing session at Go Float Studios, and it was exactly what I didn’t realize I needed.

If you’ve been feeling stressed, mentally drained, or stuck in a cycle of constant exhaustion, you’re not alone. So many of us are running on empty, with our nervous systems always “on” tense, alert, and overstimulated. It can make it difficult to truly relax, focus, or even get a good night’s sleep. This experience offered a beautiful reset. A quiet space to slow down, disconnect, and give both the mind and body a chance to recover. It’s a powerful reminder that taking care of ourselves isn’t a luxury, it’s essential.

If you’re looking for a way to restore balance and create more calm in your life, this might be something worth exploring.
