June is here, and with it comes sunshine, longer days, and lots of great things happening both personally and professionally. Recently, I was interviewed and asked a question that really made me stop and think: “If your brand was a person, who would it be?”

My answer came surprisingly easily. My brand would be the person who is always ready to lend a helping hand, offer practical advice, celebrate someone else’s success, and remind people that they don’t have to do everything alone.

When I thought about it, I realized that’s exactly why I started Clutter Relief Services in the first place. Helping others isn’t just what I do. It’s who I am.

Now I’m curious. If your business, career, or personal brand was a person, how would you describe them?

Recharging To Better Serve Others

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that helping others takes energy. In my line of work, every day involves supporting people through transitions, life changes, downsizing decisions, and often emotional situations. While I absolutely love what I do, I also know the importance of taking time to recharge.

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend two retreats. The first was a weekend immersed in nature, surrounded by trees, healing, and peaceful reflection. The second was a day retreat hosted by my business mentor, Izabela Kvesic, in beautiful Niagara.

The first pic is our whole mastermind group (missing one). We have been learning together for 8 months.

The day included meaningful mastermind conversations, time to reflect on my own growth, a relaxing massage, a sound bowl experience, and the opportunity to connect with and support other incredible women on their business journeys.

I came back feeling refreshed, grateful, and reminded that we all need to pause sometimes so we can continue showing up at our best for the people who count on us.

Tip of the Month

Before buying something new this week, ask yourself:

“Will this add value to my life, or will it simply take up space?”

This is one of the most powerful questions I ask myself, and it’s a lesson I share in my book, Clear the Clutter, Reclaim Your Life.

Years ago, I read Dr. Gary Chapman’s book, The 5 Love Languages of Children, and it completely changed my perspective. One of the biggest lessons was realizing that meaningful experiences and quality time often have a far greater impact than material things

As parents, grandparents, and family members, it’s easy to think that showing love means buying more. Yet when I look back on my own life, I don’t remember most of the things I received. I remember the conversations, family outings, traditions, and moments spent together.

The same idea applies to our homes.

When we constantly bring more into our spaces, we eventually have to manage, organize, store, and maintain all those things. Over time, the clutter can begin taking up not only physical space but mental space as well.

I’ve found that focusing more on experiences and less on possessions often creates room for what matters most: connection, memories, and peace of mind.

That’s what decluttering is really about.

It’s not about having less.

It’s about making room for more of what truly matters.

What is one experience you’ll always remember, no matter how many years have passed?

Exciting Upcoming Events

I will be doing a BidRush online auction opening next week of mainly vintage and antique collectibles and original artwork. There will also be a MaxSold online auction in a few weeks with tons of scrapbooking and cardmaking supplies. You will find both on my Instagram or Facebook pages which you can find links to at the bottom of the page.

June is Seniors Month and on June 30th I will have a table set up at Sackville Hill Senior Centre in Hamilton between 9:00-2:00. The police will be there doing presentations on fraud and how to spot it. This is a free event for the public and many vendors will be there.

The Empower Senior Speakers Series on July 8th will be featuring my friend Carey Abma as she talks about Are you Ready for what’s next?

Organizing your Affairs for Peace of Mind

We’ll explore:

  • What your Executor and Power of Attorney will actually need (and what most families forget)
  • How to organize key information so loved ones aren’t guessing under pressure
  • Healthcare wishes, decision-making, and the conversations that prevent family conflict
  • A simple overview of probate and what can slow things down
  • How to create clarity now — so your plan works smoothly later

I’m excited to share that I will be joining a Leadership Panel at the Amplified You Summit by She Soars on November 6, 2026, at Stonewall Estates Winery in Niagara.

This inspiring one-day experience is designed for ambitious women entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals who are ready to amplify their voice, grow, learn, and step into their next level of leadership. The day will feature inspiring speakers, meaningful conversations, mastermind-style networking, and opportunities to build valuable connections with incredible women from across industries. I would love to see some familiar faces there. Click here to secure your Early Bird ticket and join us for what promises to be a truly empowering day.
